1: Hadleigh - Welcome and Itinerary

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to our blogging home for the next year-ish, and our first blog!!

For those of you who don't know... this is us!

Hopefully this will be a good way to keep in touch with everyone and let you know what we're up to, we're going to try to post a few times a week (internet providing) about where we are and what we're doing. Feel free to comment on things and ask questions etc. Hopefully you'll enjoy reading and looking at our pictures (we have a few surprises planned!). We will also be using skype a lot so add us as beeandbeardsley :)

Its now 4 days before we leave the UK, excitement and nerves are setting in, but mainly we're trying to get everything ready before we leave.

Here is a brief itinerary of what we plan to do (we know this will probably change!)

Map of our intended destinations!
Oct - Central America
Flying into Cancun 10/10/12, spending a month traveling by local transport through Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Costa Rica.
Planning to see the Inca temples, loads of beaches, diving, old cities, jungle treks and volunteering with the turtles.
Finish with one day in LA (connecting flight)

Nov - New Zealand
Flying into Auckland 07/11/12, spending a month camper-vaning around both islands.
Planning to do some extreme sports (like white/black water rafting), go up the mountains (Mt Doom), see the fjords and other natural wonders, beaches and the cities.

Dec-March - Australia
Flying into Sydney 05/12/12, spending 2 weeks on the east coast seeing Sydney and probably Whitsunday/Airlie beach but we could end up anywhere along the coast, will dive the great barrier reef too!
Then we will head to Adelaide/Murry Bridge for Christmas with my Great Aunt, and hopefully spend the next few months working and earning extra pennies and seeing the South Coast (and maybe skydive!)
We then travel up through the middle to see the outback and Uluru and up to Darwin!

March - Aug - S.E Asia
Flying into Singapore 17/03/13, Spending 2 weeks in either Borneo or Sumatra (please vote as to which you think in the panel next to this!) seeing Orang Utans, jungles, temples, beaches and diving.
Then 3 weeks in Singapore and Malaysia, seeing the cities (Kuala Lumpur), going to the islands and pretty much doing the same as above! (all of S.E.A will be overland and done on public transport/trains).
After that its Thailand for 4 weeks. We will be going to all the James bond island and moon parties and diving and spending lots of time on the beach! :D We will also go to Bangkok for a week-ish, a national park and temple sites.
Next we will be in Cambodia for 4 weeks. We will go to Angkor Wat and many other temple complexes, Phnom Phen, markets, floating villages, boating down rivers and the killing fields.
After this is Vietnam for 4 weeks where we will be getting the train mostly. We will see Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon), lots more floating villages and paddy fields, several beautiful famous bays and national parks and the friendship bridge.
Then we are in Laos for 4 weeks, seeing the plain of jars, river tubing, lots of Wats, Luang Prabang and jungle zipline courses.
Lastly we go to Northern Thailand for 3 more weeks around Chaing Mai, taking cooking classes, going to the national parks, ride and volunteer in some elephants sanctuaries and make our way back to Bangkok!

Sep - Nepal
Fly into Kathmandu and spending 4 weeks. We are planning on seeing Kathmandu and the Buddhist temples, we are staying in a monastery for a week to learn monk-things :P and climbing to Everest base camp and seeing the prayer flags, then making our way overland into India.

Oct - India
4 weeks in India, going to Varanasi, Agra to see the Taj Mahal, Jaipur and then to New Delhi. Will probably ride some elephants and see several temples and little villages along the way :)

Nov 2013 - HOME!!!!

And that's the plan!!
We've deliberately bought changeable flights and not booked too much yet so it is all flexible and if we like a place we might stay longer or if we don't we'll move on! We should have the funds to do this but if we go wrong we'll be home early, or if we earn on the way we might stay longer.
We've researched lots and are prepared so don't anybody worry about us!! :)

Keep your eye on this space for more news and adventures :D (and prepare for EPIC jealousy lol :P)

Lots of Love,
Bee and Beardsley
